Mole & Lesion Screening
At our CQC registered clinic in Brackley, we have teamed up with Map My Mole to offer a mole and lesion screening service. This provides an assessment of moles and lesions you’re concerned about and can help to identify any that may be suspicious.
The service does not provide a diagnosis of skin cancer, however Map My Mole Dermatology Specialists will analyse your moles and lesions to help identify any that may require further investigation.
Your appointment will include a consultation to assess your risk factors for skin cancer, followed by a scan of the mole(s) or pigmented lesion(s). These images are taken using a Map My Mole dermatoscopic imaging device.
The images and information are then securely sent to a Map My Mole Dermatology Specialist for expert analysis.
Around 15,400 people are diagnosed with melanoma in the UK each year and this number has increased by almost half over the last decade. The incidence of malignant melanoma has risen faster than any other common cancer in the UK.

FAQ
How quickly will I get my results?
All moles/pigmented lesions are privately analysed and a colour report sent to you within 2 weeks.
What if my results aren't all clear?
If there are any concerns about the mole/lesion, a nurse or doctor will call you to discuss recommendations from the report and advise if any remedial treatment/action is required. ScreenCancer will contact you again 3-6 months after the consultation to obtain your feedback.
Do you offer a mole & lesion removal service?
Yes, once you have the all clear you can discuss our mole removal options with your medical practitioner.
